Washington DC 2010

[Sep30-Oct03, 2010 – Washington DC, US] So I have been flying into Washington DC for a while but haven’t got around to see the sights, so I asked one of my friends who lives in Maryland to go with. Well, Carrie had previous plans. Crud. So long-story-short, Jessica said she wanted to go, so I flew her in for the weekend. We went to the Air and Space Museum, and started from the Capitol and walked the Mall to the Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, then to George Mason and finally Jefferson Memorial.

Miami, FL 2010

[Sep 16-19, 2010 – Miami, FL, Us] Going to the Conrad Hilton in Miami… Well, the new tram in D concourse (American Airlines) is now open. Cool – but if you do go to MIA, in D concourse, only take the tram if it is 2 or more stops – otherwise, it makes no sense to take the tram (other than just doing it for fun :). As for the Conrad Hilton in Miami – waaaay over rated. It should just be a “Hilton” – it doesn’t deserve to be classified as a “Conrad” Hilton… As for the view, there is a huge apartment/pad/condo complex in the way of the view so it way really nothing special at all…

Waldorf Astoria – Boca Raton, FL 2010

[Sep-09-12, 2010 Boca Raton, FL, US] So I am at the Waldorf-Astoria. Am I insane? No, there was a sale and I got the rooms for $109 + resort fee. I would not pay $400+ for any hotel room (gotta be on sale or up my hotel points). It was absolutely amazing here. Built in the 1920’s so it has the taste and feeling of the era. Totally cool. Several nights, I just walked around and around in the hotel (the Cloister). Wow, it was just amazing. Hallways into hallways into hallways. Felt like trying to get somewhere but missing the right place to go 🙂 It was fun…

Chicago, IL, Labor Day Weekend 2010

[Sep 02-06, 2010 – Chicago, IL, US] Flew into Chicago to sign the paper work at a hotel for my upcoming New Year’s Eve Party 2010. (If I know you and you didn’t get an invite, please contact me. Use the contact form to contact me – again, I have to know who you are, this is not a public event.) Anyway, I flew in Bella Maria from LAX to do the tourist thing in Chicago. Went to the Tower previously known as Sears Tower, Grant Park and Buckingham Fountain, Navy Pier, hopped on the Ferris wheel, and did a dinner cruise. Also road the “L” all over. Took the bus to Wrigley Field – no didn’t go in. Bella wanted a Chicago hot dog so we did that. And Chicago pan pizza, of course. Bella took most of the pictures – she forgot her camera so I lent her mine.
