Seattle – First Starbucks, Maximilien, then to Starbucks Reserve

[January 16, 2015, Seattle, WA, US]

Okay so I went to Seattle for a science fiction convention… Well, the con was rather blasé… The thing I did that was way superior was to hit downtown Seattle. And go to the original Starbucks (Store #1). The crew at my local Starbucks were frothing at the mouth and wanted me to get “Pike Place Special Reserve Blend” (as opposed to standard “Pike Place Blend” that all the stores carry). So I got a few bags for them and a few of my friends. Original store: Starbucks First Store – this is a major Starbucks FAIL – they didn’t even list the address on this page. Yeah, “Pike Place” in Seattle is a short street, but still, they can give the address!!! (Go to bottom pic and click on that for more pictures.)

So after I got the coffee, I went to my favorite restaurant down there, hidden in back of the Market. I found it last time I was meandering down there in Seattle a few years ago. Anyway, it’s French. With French Staff. And the best French Absinthe 🙂 Food is amazing. The view is amazing. If in Seattle, go there! Make reservations – limited space. Maximilien Restaurant

Lastly, went to the new Starbucks Reserve Roastery on “Pike Street” (not to be confused with “Pike Place”). Wowowow. Cool! Amazing building with amazing coffee, available any way you want. I did the Clover vacuum extracted Sulewesi Pango Pang Iced Coffee. You can tell all the subtle flavors of the coffee, and you need no sugar, no milk, nothing. Go on a weekday, weekends are beyond packed! Starbucks Reserve Roastery
